NEW JERSEY'S KITCHEN EXPO 
TO SPONSOR HOME IN NEW ORLEANS

Kitchen Expo, a division of Universal Interlock, one of New Jersey's largest distributors of kitchen cabinetry, will be the lead sponsor of a new Women Build Home in New Orleans partnering with the Women Build initiative of Newark Habitat for Humanity.  Kitchen Expo has donated $50,000 to sponsor the home.  The home, to be built this fall as a result of the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, is supported not only financially by Kitchen Expo, but also through the donation of kitchen cabinetry and countertops. 

Most importantly, the project will have the hands-on work support of Kitchen Expo executives and employees who plan to be a part of the building program once final dates are determined.  The Kitchen Expo and Women Build volunteers will travel to New Orleans joining local volunteers to participate in what is known as a "Blitz" build, erecting an entire home in a two week period. 

Accepting the donation for the Women Build New Orleans home are Lynne Blaesser of Chatham (left) and Carol Paster of Maplewood. Both serve as co-chairs of the Newark Women Build program and are shown here extending their thanks to Brian Gordon, President of Kitchen Expo.  Kitchen Expo has five locations throughout the state: Edison, Fairfield, Flemington, Toms River, and Union.  A new store will open soon in Paramus.
